Business Smarts, Community Heart

I’ve been fortunate to work across energy, education, and government, but for the past 20 years I’ve also primarily run my own small business, partnering with non-profit organizationsto help them deliver programs, balance budgets, and serve people. That experience is exactly what Council needs right now.

Why this matters

City Hall doesn’t operate in a vacuum. Calgary delivers many services with or through community partners—most of them non-profits. We need business-minded leaders who can read a balance sheet, negotiate fair contracts, and measure outcomes—and who understand how non-profits stretch every dollar, steward volunteers, and stay mission-focused.

Bringing both lenses—business discipline and a non-profit heart—means I can strengthen partnerships, reduce red tape, and ensure public dollars actually move the needle for residents.

  • Value for taxpayers: coordinate across departments and partners to reduce duplication and share data.
  • Local focus: prioritize partnerships that directly benefit Ward 6 families, seniors, youth, and small businesses.

Calgary works best when City Hall and community partners pull in the same direction. With two decades of hands-on experience helping organizations succeed, I’m ready to make those partnerships stronger, more transparent, and more effective for you
